We are spoilt for software options these days, and sometimes there are some great free (or donationware) software applications available. A couple that I have recently come across seem to be quite useful in the “mastering” stages of different types of projects. They are:
DCP-o-matic – an open source application for creating Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs). There is some discussion about using it including re-ordering 5.1 surround sound channel order in this article on Pro Tools Expert.
ISRC Editor – allows you to edit ISRC metadata for Broadwast WAV files. Useful for music mastering.
