Canberra Institute of Technology is running Pro Tools 130 Game Audio and 201 level production training in the coming weeks. It is very rare that this training is offered in Australia so is potentially a good opportunity for professional Pro Tools users. The workshops are run over 3 days at the Woden campus in Canberra:
Pro Tools 130 Game Audio – Saturday 26 to Monday 28 September 2015
Pro Tools 201 – Saturday 3 – Monday 5 October, 2015
The Pro Tools 101 is a pre-requisite for both of these courses.
I’ll be teaching the Pro Tools 130 course, and it covers some game audio sound design fundamentals, covering the preparation of sound assets for implementing within a game project in the Unity game engine. The focus is on workflow within Pro Tools in preparing assets, with the implementation within Unity being the smaller aspect of the course. I really enjoyed completing this course myself, and find it a well thought out course with a good balance of theory and practical.
