I have mentioned market/award wages for audio crew before (http://versed.com.au/get-real-on-rates), but here are a couple more Award documents that can be found on the Australian Government’s Fair Work website that are relevant to audio roles:

MA000081 – Live Performance Award 2010

For the live performance industry. Generally based on a 38 hour week. Covers roles including:

  • Level 2 – Ticket sellers, ushers
  • Level 4 – Sound and lighting technicians
  • Level 5 – Experienced technicians
  • Level 7 – Event/Marketing Co-ordinators
  • Level 8 – Stage Managers

MA000091- Broadcasting and Recorded Entertainment Award 2010

For the radio, film and television industry. Generally based on a 38 hour week. Covers roles including:

  • Grade 5 – Audio Operator B
  • Grade 6 – Audio Operator B+
  • Grade 7 – Audio Operator A
  • Grade 8 – Audio Operator A/Audio Director
  • Grade 9 – Senior Audio Director B
  • Grade 11 – Senior Audio Director A
  • Grade 13 – Supervisor Audio
