Gain Structure for Sennheiser EW100 kit

I primarily use the Sennheiser EW100 G3 gear for my lavs and wireless links for shoots. As I sometimes switch between equipment or loan/hire gear to others I thought I might just note a few of my default starting points for gain structure.

SK 100 Transmitter Sensitivity when using DPA 4060 or Sennheiser ME2 (both mics have a sensitivity of 20mV/Pa) = -21dB (might go as low as -30dB if there is shouting or screaming, or up to -15dB for a quiet speaker)

EK 100 Receiver AF Out = generally start at -6dB as per Sennheiser’s recommendation as a starting point

633 Gain – around 10-11 o’clock on Gain knob on inputs

788T Gain – around 30-35dB on inputs

633 Output to SK 100 Transmitter – Mic level output to SK 100 with Sensitivity set at -15dB

788T Output to SK 100 Transmitter = -35dB (AF Peak light comes on at -15dB) output to SK 100 with Sensitivity set at -15dB (need to check this, but I think this is correct)

EK 100 Receiver Camera Link AF Out = generally start at -6dB as per Sennheiser’s recommendation as a starting point
